Rwanga Foundation for Development and LONGi partnered to launch a Solar Energy online course for the LONGi Distribution Network. Four sessions were held every Thursday, with the option for additional cohorts on Wednesdays if needed. Each two-hour session covered topics related to distributed power stations. Classes accommodated up to 15 trainees, with the possibility of additional cohorts for overflow. English was the primary language, and translation support in Arabic or Kurdish was provided if required. Upon completion, trainees received participation certificates, and employment opportunities were available for high-achieving individuals within the distribution network. The course covered four main classes: “Distributed Power Station Design and Construction,” “Common Faults in Distributed Power Station Operation and Maintenance,” “Distributed Power Station PVsyst Skills Training,” and “LONGi 2023-2025 Product Roadmap.”
Rwanga Foundation in partnership with CINOP implemented a project to support Solar Energy in Erbil called “Technical Training and Business skills up for SMEs about Solar Energy Kurdistan Region-Iraq”. The project had three components; the first is providing 7 days training courses to Solar SMEs in Erbil, Iraq regarding the management skills, provide 10 days Job Readiness Training sessions to 20 fresh graduated electrical engineers, and provide internship for 15 skilled youth to the Solar SMEs and companies in Erbil for 20 days.
